The organizing chapters and affiliates of Al-Awda, The Palestine Right To Return Coalition (spearheaded by Al-Awda Cleveland) would like to thank our co-organizer, ANSWER COALITION and all the participants from around the USA and the world that came to Washington, DC and played a pivotal role in making #SupportPalestineInDC2017 another huge success in holding steadfast to Palestinian inalienable rights which include the Right of Return at its helm!
This year in particular, we refused to tone down our voice and we refused demands to appease the gatekeepers like we have in the past. This is nothing new, this is what Al-Awda has been doing since its inception and we aren’t going to sell our people’s rights away, ever. We are proud of the massive attendance at our National Rally to Support Palestine and Protest AIPAC! The results speak for themselves by the thousands in attendance from around the world!
This proud Palestinian initiated and led demonstration was made possible due to the contributions of so many passionate people about the Palestinian Struggle. Despite the Zionists, saboteurs, and others working around the clock cheering in hopes and attempts to destroy our efforts we held our ground and the people who have the confidence in us and have been supporting our organization for almost 17 years had our back. We appreciate their confidence and popular support for a genuine organization fighting for Palestine deserves literally against all odds!
Lastly, we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge the many who contributed financially to help cover the expenses of organizing this rally. We are eternally grateful for their generosity. Organizing an event of this magnitude is not easy, and were it not for the contribution of our donors, none of this would have been possible.
So long as Palestine is not liberated, we will continue to make future events to Support Palestine and Protest AIPAC even bigger and bigger! Long live Palestine, and its courageous, resilient people! Until Victory and Return!
