Al-Awda, The Palestine Right of Return Movement (www.alawdaror.org) calls on the Cleveland Palestinian community and their supporters to come out this Friday to support this multifaceted Rally for Palestine!
#Nakba70 – #Gaza – #Jerusalem
(1) We will be in downtown Cleveland to demonstrate and condemn the recent barbaric cross-border terrorist Israeli sniper killings of peaceful unarmed Palestinian protestors in Gaza! Today, on May 14, 2018, while Palestinians are peacefully participating in Gaza’s #GreatReturnMarch, there is a massacre happening right now! Since this morning Palestine time, over 50 Palestinian civilians, including 1 girl, 1 boy and another double amputee were murdered, while over 2,000 others, including 74 Children, 23 Women, 8 Journalists, and 11 Paramedics, were wounded. This is all paid for by your American tax dollars and it must stop!
(2) We will also be simultaneously holding a Rally to commemorate the 70th year of the ongoing Palestinian #Nakba (Palestinian Catastrophe). Since 1948, the Palestinian people have resisted one of the most brutal colonial occupations in human history for 70 years! We still hold on to our keys and we demand the Right of Return of Palestinian Refugees wishing to go home! The inalienable Right of Return is a sacred right, that we will never relinquish and the most recent proof is the infamous Great Return March happening in Gaza, Palestine at this moment. This is also re-affirmed and backed by UN Resolution 194.
(3) Al-Quds, Jerusalem: Last but not least, we will be here to demonstrate against the Trump Administration’s move of the U.S. Embassy to #Jerusalem which symbolizes U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of the illegal entity of “Israel.” This is a clear violation of international law and even a violation of the “official” US stance on illegally occupied Jerusalem. Al-Quds, was and will always be the Eternal Capital of Palestine regardless of any relocation of building structures in the occupied Palestinian-Arab City!
Long live Gaza! Long live Palestine! We will RETURN!
